Every once in awhile Pat and I have a meeting together just to catch up on business and take a peek at what needs to be done in the coming days and weeks. You'd think that with us being home together working that communication would be an easy thing, but the truth is that a vast multitude of details -- things like "we're busy that night" -- seem to slip through the cracks.
Hence, the meetings.
It had been awhile since we'd done any such catching up, and quite frankly with the health issues we've been facing, the need for meetings had lessened some. But Pat, trooper that she is, insists on doing what she can when she can. So back to the meeting table we went last night.
Honestly, we really had gotten some productive work done before things, er, devolved a tad. But by the time Joe dropped by to pick up some shelves, we were in full-fledged song-tag mode (Elton John's "Benny and the Jets" vs. "Hombre Religioso" from the film Nacho Libre), punctuated by heated debate as to whether or not pirates wore sashes.*
So, just wanted to let you know that things are about as normal around here as they ever get for us. We may wait awhile before our next meeting, though.
